Spyware
Spyware is software that is installed on your computer to monitor and report back on your computer usage without your knowledge. You can't see it running, and these packages are not detected by virus scanners, but they usually log all your keystrokes and do screen captures which are then secretly made available to another party, sometimes by email. This could compromise your emails, passwords, banking and financial details or other private information. Did you know identity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes of this century affecting some 700,000 people, who last year alone, lost an estimated $4 Billion dollars? However there is software that can eliminate this breach of personal privacy. This works by detecting and identifying the spyware running in the background and allows you to remove the software. We have investigated several packages, but like SpyCop because it protects against ALL known spyware packages and its database can be updated online to protect against new spyware packages as they are released. It is available in personal or corporate versions for computers running Windows 95 or later. |
